The purpose of this site will be to share information of things I like.
I want to display information about Geology and Geographic Informaiton Systems.
As I go through my development class, learning more about php based webistes.
The specifics will be about different rock types, specificly about sedimentary
and igneous rocks. I have the most experience with these. Idaho has extensive
areas of igneous rocks from Yellowstone and other various volcanic events. There
are large areas of limestones and other sedimentary rocks as well. Database ideas
are for identification tables, locations were they can found.
The gallery page from my old site will be revamped and new photos added. I would like to include a comment field or script so that people could comment on the images. I also want to have information about the areas in shown. Many of these sites were visted on field trips for my geology studies. Links to tables about location, directions and some cool sites in the area are planned.
These are the pages that I see being created as the semester progress. Some will be rebuilt from my old xhtml site others will be new build. I have ideas for a database and the tables containted in it. I do not intended place media in these tables, just some refrence data for the pages on rocks.
